AuS (COAC) GROUP VISITS WIKIHOUSING CONSTRUCTION SITE

This past Tuesday, February 17th, the Architecture and Sustainability (AuS) group from COAC made a technical visit to the Wikihousing project in Poble-sec. The aim of the meeting was to learn firsthand about the construction system and the progress of this housing model.

The day began with an information session at the Centre Cívic El Sortidor. David Juárez (Straddle3), Ignasi Caus (director of Tallfusta), and Luca Volpi (Societat Orgànica) explained the technical parameters of the Wikihousing project, covering everything from construction details to the sustainability criteria that define the building.

Afterwards, the group moved to the site to observe the construction process in person. During the visit, they witnessed the installation of a panel on the third floor and toured the first two levels of the structure. These visits are a key way to share the experience of industrialized construction with other professionals interested in new housing models.
